Private Law

The Department of Private Law was established in 1973. This department administers mainly courses on civil law, commercial law, civil procedure, and private international law. The department is in charge of L.L.M. and Ph.D. degrees as the classic postgraduate major in Iran. A great number of Iranian legal practitioners, either judges, solicitors, barristers or notaries, have completed their postgraduate studies in the programs held by this department.

Currently, the department comprises nine well-known faculty members who teach in the University's main campus. The Department, in completion of courses given by tenured professors, benefits from the services of emeritus and adjunct professors.
